ABOUT JAS
Jasmine Jones also known as JasthePetStylist is one of Chicago's youngest premiere dog groomers. She has over 10 years of experience as a pet stylist and now owns and operates a 5-Star luxury pet salon in the historic South Shore neighborhood of Chicago.
Jas has been privately trained and certified by master international stylist Ashley Odin; groomer to the stars and Southeast Asia grooming school graduate.
Jas prides herself in the ability to properly educate clients on proper care of their canine or feline.
EXPERIENCE
She started in the grooming industry at the age of 18. Jas has been a Lead Stylist for large box stores such as Petco and PetSmart. She has also been a stylist for multiple five star grooming salons; Bark Bark Club, Paradise for Paws Pet Resort, and DSPA Chicago.
WHY JASTHEPETSTYLIST?
After realizing none of the companies she’s worked for implemented the creativity she was looking to bring to clients, Jas decided to branch off on her own.
Recently Jas competed as the only groomer from Chicago on HBO Max's dog grooming competition, Haute Dog. She competed against two other stylists; Watch episode 11 to see what happened!
Jas is now servicing over 500 clients of her own and growing. She services all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Jas has earned her buzz from her consistent "one of a kind" cuts and coloring jobs on various canines throughout Chicagoland, Northeast Indiana, and even the Los Angeles area. She has serviced the pets of a few celebrities such as Hip-Hop Mogul Damon Dash, Rapper Queen Key, and Chicago Radio Personalities Maha (92.3) and Kendra G (107.5).
Jas is now 28 years old and ready to usher in the new phase of black and brown young groomers as she has already trained three successful stylists. Two of these stylists now own and operate a successful grooming salon on Chicago's Southwest side.
Jas has encountered many obstacles during her journey in the grooming industry as well as the common obstacles of growing up on Chicago's Southside; but she's never let anything, or anyone stand in her way. She plans to inspire many other animal lovers and youth with dreams and goals.
